Health and Beauty From the Inside Out

Facial rejuvenation acupuncture is a natural and holistic approach to enhancing your skin's health and restoring a youthful glow. By stimulating specific acupuncture points on the face and body, this non-invasive technique encourages the body's natural healing processes, promoting circulation, collagen production, and overall skin rejuvenation.

Benefits:

  1. Improved Skin Texture: Facial acupuncture enhances blood flow and encourages collagen and elastin production, resulting in smoother, firmer skin.

  2. Reduction of Fine Lines and Wrinkles: By targeting specific points, it helps to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, promoting a more youthful complexion.

  3. Natural Radiance: Stimulating acupuncture points revitalizes dull skin, promoting a natural, healthy glow from within.

  4. Natural lift: Reduction of sagging jowls, chins, hooded lids, sagging eyebrows

  5. Tension Relief: The process can alleviate facial tension, reducing stress lines and promoting relaxation, contributing to a more relaxed and youthful appearance.

  6. Balanced Skin Tone: Acupuncture can help balance skin tone by addressing issues like pigmentation irregularities, giving a more even complexion.

How Cosmetic Acupuncture Works

Facial rejuvenation acupuncture works by stimulating specific points on the face and body using fine needles. These needles are inserted into targeted areas, aiming to enhance circulation, promote collagen production, and encourage the body's natural healing processes. As well as affecting muscles on the face that are too loose or too tight, thus creating sagging or wrinkles. Here's a breakdown of how it typically works:

  1. Stimulation of Acupuncture Points: Acupuncture points on the face, as well as on other parts of the body connected via meridians (energy pathways), are targeted. The insertion of fine needles at these points helps stimulate blood flow and energy circulation.

  2. Increased Blood Flow: The insertion of needles encourages increased blood circulation to the face. Improved blood flow brings more oxygen and nutrients to the skin cells, aiding in their repair and rejuvenation.

  3. Collagen Production: Acupuncture can stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, crucial proteins for maintaining skin elasticity and firmness. This helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

  4. Release of Tension: By targeting specific muscles and areas of tension on the face, acupuncture helps relax facial muscles, reducing stress lines and promoting a more relaxed appearance.

  5. Holistic Approach: Facial rejuvenation acupuncture often involves considering the individual's overall health and well-being. Practitioners may address underlying health issues or imbalances that could affect skin health, taking a holistic approach to enhance results.

  6. Body-Mind Connection: Acupuncture's philosophy is rooted in the belief that various points on the body are connected and related to specific organs and bodily functions. Stimulating these points can rebalance energy flow and promote overall health, reflecting in the skin's appearance.

Facial rejuvenation acupuncture is a gentle, non-invasive procedure. While results may vary for each individual, the cumulative effects of regular sessions can contribute to improved skin texture, tone, and overall radiance.

What to Expect

Before your session, you'll complete our history form, and we'll discuss your cosmetic acupuncture goals. Our sessions start with acupuncture points on the body that ground energy and have a calming effect on the face. Next, we target points in and around the ears to lift the face and support the nervous system. Then, we'll proceed to needle the face. The needles will be retained for 20 minutes. Finally, we conclude the session by incorporating facial Gua Sha techniques.

Results are gradual - plan for treatment over time: A minimum of 8-12 sessions is usually recommended, along with occasional tune-ups every few months.  At about 4-6 weeks of treatment patients start to notice significant changes. So while you won’t see the instant results of face lifts or injections, you’ll get gradual natural, and long-lasting benefits. Your skin will look healthier, firmer, and your complexion, brighter and radiant. And because we are treating the whole body, you can experience other health benefits as well.

No side effects, downtime or serious pain:  Most people say the sensation of the super-thin facial needles is milder than plucking a hair.

If you are already getting fillers or botox injections, it is important to check with your practitioner as to when you can recieve facial acupuncture after these injections.

Microneedling

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure used to rejuvenate the skin and address various skin concerns. It involves the use of a device equipped with fine needles that create tiny, controlled punctures or micro-injuries on the skin's surface. Unlike laser treatments it can be used on any skin color!

How It Works:

The process of microneedling works by stimulating the skin's natural healing response. The micro-injuries created during the procedure trigger the production of collagen and elastin, essential proteins responsible for maintaining the skin's firmness, elasticity, and youthful appearance. Additionally, these micro-injuries also facilitate better absorption of skincare products, enhancing their effectiveness.

Some common applications and benefits of microneedling:

  1.     Acne Scars: Microneedling can aid in reducing the appearance of acne scars by promoting collagen production and remodeling the skin's texture.

  2.     Wrinkles and Fine Lines: It may help diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by stimulating collagen and elastin production, leading to smoother skin.

  3.     Uneven Skin Tone: Microneedling can assist in improving uneven skin tone caused by hyperpigmentation, sun damage, or age spots by promoting skin renewal.

  4.     Large Pores: It may help in reducing the size of enlarged pores, giving the skin a more refined and smoother appearance.

  5.     Stretch Marks: Microneedling can be effective in reducing the appearance of stretch marks by stimulating collagen synthesis and improving skin texture.

  6.     Overall Skin Texture and Quality: It can improve overall skin texture, making the skin appear more youthful, vibrant, and evenly toned.

  7.     Hair Re-growth: as long as there are still follicles in the area, microneedling can help regrow thinning eyebrows and hairlines or bald spots.

  8.     Minimally Invasive: Compared to some other cosmetic procedures, microneedling is minimally invasive, with minimal downtime and relatively low risk of side effects.

  9.     Available for all skin colors - including people with more melanin!

Microneedling is a versatile treatment suitable for various skin types and can be used on different parts of the body. However, it's essential to consult with a qualified professional to determine if it's the right option for your specific skin concerns and to ensure the procedure is performed safely and effectively.
